It will ruin the reputation of the school—which we are so proud of and attracts most of the parents living here right now. First of all, the kids won’t be safe walking to their homes anymore. The senior building ask for lots of services including dog walkers, home cleaners, nurses and so on. These people could come from anywhere. The kids will be exposed to them, especially for the kids living in the Arbors, the kids WALKING home from school, and the kids who goes to the Arbors to have playdates. IT WILL BE SUPER UNSAFE!!! If any bad thing happened just once, the reputation of the school will be ruined forever... Second of all, the traffic will be terrible. You can imagine at least 3 times of traffic in the morning and after school time(every senior family averagely asks for 5 more cars coming to serve them). The parents will complains a lot!!!!! Plus, isn’t it important to have the kids get to school on time? Thirdly, the beauty of our school environment!!!! If the senior building will ask for taking all the beautiful trees around it out can you imagine what that look like??????????????????? In a word, the good school reputation is the key to let “Rye Brook” stand out, it is not smart idea to risk it. People come to Rye Brook, buy expensive houses, and pay high taxes to go to school!!!!!! I don’t know why the down-sizers would come to such an expensive place to just lay down on their bed every day…I bet the houses can not be rent out. Most of them will be empty... PLEASE BE SMART LEADERS, BUILDING SOMETHING GOOD BESIDE THE SCHOOL!DO NOT RUIN IT!!!!!!! Thanks a lot, a resident of Rye Brook, Yan M
