It is our understanding that there will be a meeting in the near future to consider the issues that will need to be covered in the upcoming Environmental study. We would respectfully request that the following items all be considered as a part of that study. - Loss of vegetation (replacement without mature vegetation) -> erosion and runoff. - Arbors retention basin (water runoff) affects during construction and with the new development and loss of trees. - Previous construction projects lead to increase in deer and other wildlife along Arbor drive. - Solid waste (Garbage) disposal - Effect on the Arbors sewer and water systems. - The entrance of Arbor drive (including the timing of the light) is not designed to handle the increase in traffic. - Arbor Drive traffic during construction and the need for an alternative access point for construction vehicles. - Traffic at school start and dismissal time (people cross over the double yellow line into our turning lane to avoid cars waiting to enter the school) - Electrical boxes – where will they be moved to? 1 services 900 one the Arbors. - All electrical is along Arbor drive. If disruption occurs during construction or due to increase demand from the new development, the entire Arbors will be without power and in the winter that will lead to freezing pipes. - If this lowers our home values, is that factored in to the revenue calculations presented by the developer in their proposal? - The additional cost of emergency vehicles for the police/fire officer is NOT mentioned only the cost of the officer. - School kids and Arbors residents during construction.. Blasting and Asbestos removal are needed and construction is expected to last 3 years. - How you keep kids safe as they walk around the Arbors and to/from school. - Rise in transient workers near the school could be dangerous. - Could blasting affect the Tennessee gas lines that are throughout the property? - Ensuring enough parking for the new development as there is no where else to park. - Parking for the school, especially during meet the teacher night, during soccer/sports tournaments, and for the Arbors (on Halloween) as we all use 900 King as an overflow parking lot and there are hundreds of cars parked there for these events. Thank you for your consideration, Dale & Caroline Kent 107 Brush Hollow Close Rye Brook, NY 10573
