I have many concerns as it relates to a project of this magnitude, which I believe will affect the arbors as well as the future of our town. This lot is allocated for 106 units based on the current guidelines and now they want to place 250 plus units? You have children walking to school every day and with an older population living at the 900 kings street property, you are going to have accidents that could endanger the lives of our children. If you look statistics, Florida with its older population has three times the number of accidents than New York. This is an accident waiting to happen. Why should we be placing our childrens lives in danger? Another issue is parking. Have you taken in consideration the number of visitors the assisted living facility will have over the weekend? I had a family member in one of these faculties and we had to park on the street. In reviewing the plans, the developer has not taken this into consideration. Parking on Arbor Drive would be totally unacceptable. An option would be to have the developer pay for a guardhouse and 24-hour security, which would stop visitor, overflow into the arbors. This is not the answer, where are the cars going to park? The fire / police station? Based on my understanding, 62+ does not allow children but 55+ does. Why would we allow any possibility to have children by keeping it 55+? What is the economic rationale for keeping it 55+, especially since they indicate that the average age of new renters is 78-82. In addition, you are going to have construction crews for three years in an area that children walk to school each day not to mention the chemicals released during construction and the health of our children. I understand that the property should be developed but the scope of this project is way to big for our community. I would ask you to look at what the Arbor Homeowners Associations concerns are and take them into consideration when voting on this project. Sincerely, Robert Lande 8 Bayberry Close
