We have attended a few of the meetings and as indicated, they have been somewhat repetitive with the bidder tweaking the proposal to appease the town board. We have 3 major concerns around the impact to school and our immediate living space: 1. The traffic in our immediate area when leaving/coming home from work is already very congested - we are concerned that a residence of this significance (regardless of the age of inhabitants) will cause even more congestion. 2. We are worried about the impact of our home value - even though all proposed units are rentals, it will likely still impact our home values by diminishing the aesthetics of our community. 3. The impact of a senior living facility will likely adversely impact school taxes - the empty nesters that will likely inhabit the new facilities will have no reason to support the school/school taxes that keep the community and Rye Brook as a desired destination for young families. We appreciate the time to consider our interests and concerns in the 900 King Street matter and will support any efforts to make this work for the broader community.
