She also added that some cooperative effort must be made between Rye Brook and Port Chester with respect to the Fire Department because the schools are concerned. Mayor Cresenzi commented about the protection of children and any life is important to every member of the Village Board, Police Department personnel and Fire Department personnel. He conveyed that as far as cooperation between fire departments, Rye Brook has gone on record with Dr. Colletti at the last School Board meeting that we are willing to work out an agreement. Ms. Solomon said that such an agreement should not take so long to be reached because lives are at stake, Trustee Tunis said that it was mentioned that there were insurance liability problems under the mutual aid plan which were settled when Rye Brook created the local law establishing the Rye Brook Fire Department, but Port Chester will not meet with Rye Brook about mutual aid. Ms. Solomon asked if Rye, Greenwich and Purchase would respond to Rye Brook in case they needed mutual aid. Trustee Strum said that Rye Brook has assurances from the County that the Mutual Aid System would be called to assist Rye Brook if the need arises. He added that County Control has assured Rye Brook that the participants in the Mutual Aid Program will participate and respond if the need arises.
