HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-09-16 - Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes 000884 MINUTES OF A BID OPENING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 16, 1987 IN THE VILLAGE OFFICES 90 SOUTH RIDGE STREET RYE BROOK, NEW YORK CALL TO ORDER - The bid opening was called to order by the Director of Public Works, Rocco V. Circosta, at 11:05 A.M. in the Conference Room. PRESENT Rocco V. Circosta, Director of Public Works Jean A. Marra, Deputy Village Clerk Thomas Leonardi, Fleet Chevrolet PROCEEDINGS The first sealed bid for Contract #87-02 from Fleet Chevrolet, Mount Vernon, NY was opened by Mr. Circosta. The price submitted was $15,464.58 and a check in the amount of $250 accompanied the bid proposal, as required by the bid bond. Exceptions to Fleet's bid proposal included the axle capacity and automatic locking hubs. Under electrical, the 85 amp generator was deleted. Other exceptions to Fleet's proposal were the snow plow being 7'6" and the color being white. x x t * x The second sealed bid from Bruno CMC Truck Sales, Brooklyn, NY was then opened by Mr. Circosta. The price submitted by them was $15,300. As there was a bid bond on file, no check accompanied this bid proposal. Exceptions to Bruno's proposal were the front axle capacity and the manual locking hubs. 000885 September 16, 1987 i The third sealed bid to be opened was from Russell Chevrolet of Fairfield, CT. The Deputy Village Clerk, Jean Marra, stated that as per a phone call from Carl Monk of Russell Chevrolet, the bid bond check was inadvertently omitted from their packet. The proposal from Russell was in the amount of $15,807 with the exceptions being a Meyers plow of 712' , instead of the Western Plow specified. The fourth and final bid opened by Mr. Circosta was from Willow Motors of Port Chester, NY in the amount of $16,396. A bid deposit of $250 accompanied Willow's proposal and there were no exceptions to this bid. Respectfully submitted, Jean A. Marra Deputy Village Clerk - 2 -
