OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF RYE BROOK, HELD ON THE
27th DAY OF JUNE, 1989 IN THE ,
VILLAGE OFFICES

CONVENE MEETING
The Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by
Mayor Cresenzi at 8:00 P.M. in the Meeting Room and the Pledge
of Allegiance followed.
Present were the following members of the Board:
Mayor Salvatore M. Cresenzi
Trustee Michele R. Mendicino
Trustee Francis L. Filipowski
Trustee Robert J. Ravich
Trustee Jane Saffir Smith
Also present were:
Christopher J. Russo, Village Administrator
Edward F. Beane, Village Attorney
Rocco V. Circosta, Director of Public Works
Robert P. Gerardi, Assistant Building Inspector
Catherine M. Spinosa, Bookkeeper
Jean A. Marra, Deputy Village Clerk

Before the start of the meeting, the Board members welcomed
Michele Mendicino (Daly) back from her honeymoon. It was noted
that Michele and Bryan were married on June 17th which was the
scheduled date for the Rye Brook Birthday Party!
PUBLIC HEARINGS (Continued)
1. LOCAL LAW #3 OF 1989 - FIRE LANE DESIGNATIONS
Attorney Beane explained what changes were made to the proposed
law and Mr. John Colangelo suggested that the amount of the fine
be posted on the "No Parking - Fire Lane" signs so people won't
j think it's just a $5 fine.
There being no further discussion, on motion by Trustee Ravich,
seconded by Trustee Smith, with a unanimous vote of the Board,
the following resolution was adopted:
LOCAL LAW #3 - 1989
FIRE LANE DESIGNATIONS
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was commenced on the
23rd day of May, 1989 and adjourned to the 27th
day of June, 1989 in order for the Board of
Trustees to consider the adoption of a proposed
Local Law and has heard all those persons desiring
to be heard thereon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that this Board hereby adopts Local Law
#3-1989, entitled "Fire Lane Designations" of the
Village of Rye Brook, and orders that said law as
so adopted be herein inserted and made a part of
the minutes of this meeting as follows:
LOCAL LAW #3 of 1989
FIRE LANE DESIGNATIONS
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this Local Law is amend Section 15 of Local
Law #7 - 1988 entitled, "Vehicle & Traffic Law," by deleting
same and replacing it with Local Law #3 of 1989, entitled
"Fire Lane Designations" which shall include a new Section E
and modifications to Section F (Compliance) and Section G
(Penalties) thereof.
