RESOLVED that the Mayor be authorized to sign the
agreement with the County of Westchester for
reimbursement of the cost of prisoner transportation
for the period January 1 , 1987 to December 31 , 1987 .

MINUTES OF AGENDA MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 13TH 1987 AT THE
VILLAGE OFFICE, 90 SOUTH RIDGE STREET, RYE BROOK, NEW YORK AT
8 P.M.
Present: Mayor Kabcenell, Trustees Meiskin, Nardi, Cresenzi,
Zak, Attorney Kramer, Treasurer Cortese, Clerk Smith
Mayor Kabcenell - as a first order of business I would like
to propose a resolution of commendation to the police
I' officers who were involved in apprehending the perpetrator of
a number of burglaries in the Rye Hills area. There were
many officers who were included in stake-out, not all of whom
were there at the time of the apprehension, and this Board
would like to file a commendation in their personnel jackets.
A number of them voluntarily served extra time because of
their desire to do this, so I will ask that the Board empower
a resolution to be placed in their personnel files commending
them for their diligence and extra duty in the apprehension
of the alleged perpetrator. I would also like the Chief to
share in this commendation, who set it up and worked very
hard in keeping. it as quiet as possible.
Trustee Cresenzi - I would like to mention that the two
officers who were involved in the apprehension did it on
their days off .
On the motion of Trustee Meiskin, seconded by Trustee Zak,
RESOLVED that the police officers of the Rye Brook police
force be commended for their diligent efforts and extra duty
which resulted in the apprehension of the perpetrator of
recent burglaries in the Rye Hills area of Rye Brook, and
i that commendations be placed in their personnel files.

BIDS FOR 3 POLICE CARS.
Having been duly advertised, we have received only one bid

from Russell Chevrolet in Fairfield, Connecticut.
On the motion of Trustee Meiskin, seconded by Trustee Zak,
RESOLVED that Russell Chevrolet, 985 Post Road, Fairfield,
Connecticut, as the only bidder, be awarded the contract for
three ( 3 ) police cars , according the specifications provided,
at $12 , 364 . 00 per vehicle, total $37 , 092 . 00 , to be delivered
within 120 days .

BID FOR SENIOR CITIZEN BUS.

We have received a grant from the State to get a 16-passenger
minibus which would primarily be used for the Senior Citizen
program but which would also be used for other recreational
programs. We received only one bid from Wayne Lenox
Equipment Co. for $25 ,920 . 00 .
Mayor Kabcenell asked that Chris Russo check with the County
to see if there might be a possibility of getting it for
less.
RESOLVED that action on this be deferred until January 27th
in order that it can be checked out with the County.

. PRISONER TRANSPORTATION REIMBURSEMENT.
On the motion of Trustee Zak, seconded by Trustee Cresenzi ,
RESOLVED that the Mayor be authorized to sign the agreement
iwith the County of Westchester for reimbursement of the cost

December 31 , 1987 .
