HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-11-12 - Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes )00538 MINUTES OF AGENDA MEETING HELD BY THE BOARD ON TUESDAY, NOV. 12, 1985 at the Village Office, 111 South Ridge Street, Rye Brook, NY at 8:00 p.m PRESENT: Mayor Kabcenell, Trustees Meiskin and Zak Attorney Kramer, Clerk Smith ABSENT: Trustees Nardi and Cresenzi, Treasurer Cortese BUSINESS: FATHER PETER M. RINALDI DAY Mayor Kabcenell opened the meeting by reading a proclamation marking November 17, 1985 as Father Peter M. Rinaldi Day. On the motion of Trustee Meiskin, seconded by Trustee Zak, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Rye Brook extend to Father Peter M. Rinaldi their appreciation and congratulations on the celebration of his Fiftieth Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in recognition thereof, Sunday, November 17, 1985, be proclaimed FATHER PETER M. RINALDI DAY in the Village of. Rye Brook. The vote on the motion was as follows: Trustee Meiskin voting AYE Trustee Zak voting AYE Mayor Kabcenell voting AYE Trustee Cresenzi ABSENT Trustee Nardi ABSENT REPORT ON STREET LIGHTING George R. Morrow, Special Assistant to the Mayor, gave a status report on street light problems in the Rye Hills area. The survey and report detailing the number of fixtures and location of each has been completed by George Leone of Con Edison. Fifty-six (56) new light fixtures, consisting of 50 watt to 150 watt luminaries plus approximately 40 brackets are needed for the new light placements. All of the old series fixture, brackets and transformers will be removed. The entire project will cost approximately $24,000. s This is an emergency situation in that the entire area is without street lighting. The work can be completed under the Village's two year contract with Dobart Lighting which was publicly bid in 1984. On the motion of Trustee Zak, seconded by Trustee Meiskin, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees authorize the implementation of the recommendations regarding replacement of 56 lights. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that because this work is of an emergency nature, it be completed under the Village's contract with Dobart Lighting at a maximum cost of $24,000. The vote on the motion was as follows: Trustee Meiskin voting AYE Trustee Zak voting AYE Mayor Kabcenell voting AYE Trustee Cresenzi ABSENT Trustee Nardi ABSENT The following items were discussed and placed on the Agenda of the next Regular Meeting of the Village Board: PUBLIC HEARINGS: a. Hearing to consider amendment of subdivision regulations for "deep lots" b. Hearing on revised development of Betsy Brown Road by Betsy Brown Associates REPORTS AND DISCUSSIONS: a. Blind Brook small watershed protection district b. Floyd Caplan, 3 Holly Lane, Rye Brook re: Storm Drain C. Fire Contract Former Trustee Jules Harris reported that he had two residents call regarding the development on King Street on the Rye Brook/Port Chester border - King's Walk. One felt that the developer had done an excellent job in connection with drainage, the other one - Mrs. Kayak - reported three inches of water in her basement, which Anthony Cerone of the Highway Department had checked and felt was due to the development. Mayor Kabcenell asked that Building Inspector, Felix Fidelibus, report on the situation. 00()1540 The next Regular Meeting of the Village Board will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 1985, at 8:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. r
