HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-06-12 - Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes 7 MINUTES OF AGENDA MEETING HELD ON JUNE 12th 1984 AT THE VILLAGE OFFICE AT 8 PM. Present: Mayor Kabcenell, Trustees Meiskin and Harris, Attorney Kramer, Clerk Smith, Treasurer Cortese. Absent: Trustees Nardi, Zak. Mayor Kabcenell declared this a Special Meeting for the purpose of discussing proposed Local Law No. 3-1984. -' On the motion of Trustee Meiskin, seconded by Trustee Harris, BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Rye Brook as follows: 1. This Local Law shall be known as the ZONING PUBLICATION LAW. 2. In lieuof the publication provided in Village Law 7-704, every zoning law and every amendment thereto shall be made by publishing a summary of the law or amendment one (1) time in the official newspaper, and by posting a copy of the full text of such i zoning law or amendment, together with any map incorporated therein conspicuously at or near the main entrance to the office of the Village Clerk. i The Mayor explained that this will save us the huge expense of publishing every single zoning change in detail. Attorney Kramer explained that this is a prelude to the Code'' Adoption planned for the next meeting, and the Zoning Code is a book. Trustee Meiskin voting AYE Trustee Harris voting AYE Mayor Kabcenell voting AYE Trustee Nardi ABSENT Trustee Zak ABSENT. WASHINGTON PARK PLAZA - PARKING. William Cuddy asked the Board to consider an extension of the time limit for the reconfiguration of parking, because of continuing negotiations with the Archdiocese on the Church property. The Planning Board is meeting Thursday, and will report to the Village Board in time for the June 26th Meeting. This matter will be placed on the agenda for the June 26th meeting. PROPOSED SUBDIVISION - VARADIAN PROPERTY. This was placed on the agenda for the June 26th meeting, with instruction that the Village Clerk publish a notice of Public Hearing. CODE ENACTMENT. This matter was placed on the agenda for the June 26th meeting, with instruction to the Clerk to publish the necessary notices. ROYAL EXECUTIVE PARK - FINAL EIS. This matter was placed on the agenda for the June 26th meeting. RYE BROOK OFFICE PARK - FINAL EIS. This matter was placed on the agenda for the June 26th meeting. 028 APPOINTMENTS TO VARIOUS BOARDS AND COMMITTEES. i This was placed on the agenda for the June 26th meeting. Trustee Harris raised the question of a new State law giving tax exemption for the disabled, for improvements to property related to the disability. The Town Assessor has one for Port Chester. Trustee Harris also asked if property rezoned in 1977, and never developed, should retain the rezoned status. Attorney Kramer said the Board has discretion to change it at any time prior to building. The Mayor asked for a list of properties which had been rezoned, but had not been developed for two years or more. Trustee Meiskin said that there had been a request to the Town of Rye government for an access road connecting Crawford Park and Rye Hills Park. Her. Commissioner Mike Borelli had met with Supervisor Gioffreand thought that a letter or resolution from the Village Board agreeing to cooperate would be helpful. Trustee Meiskin also said that we should continue the search for a suitable site for a softball field for Rye Brook. The meeting was adjourned at 8.50 p.m. yk' el
