HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-02-12 - Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes 000453 AGENDA MEETING HELD ON February 12 1985 at 8 P.M. at the VILLAGE OFFICE, 111 South Rid a Street, Rye Brook, N.Y. Present: Mayor Kabcenell, Trustees Meiskin, Nardi, Harris, Zak Attorney Kramer, Treasurer Cortese, Clerk Smith. _ _,Mayor Kabcenell opened the meeting with a discussion related to a ballf field and all of the activities that the Recreation Commission has been going through for the Last few months, in connection with an additional field to be built behind the Ridge Street School, and accessibility being provided to the Rye Hills Park from Crawford Park. Since the next regular meeting on February 19 occurs during school vacation, this topic was deferred to the March 26th meeting, with notification to all of the people who signed the petition against the new field behind the school, and also the President of the Rye Brook/Rye Hills Association. Discussion about Little League and Mayor Kabcenell said that we are going to make an arrangement to reimburse Port Chester for the proportionate cost of the program which will enablethemto bring our youngsters into their program. Agenda Itemsfor February 19th 1985. We have a recommendation from the Planning Board and from our consultant Frederick P. Clark Associates that we authorise a review of land use and zoning in the Village. The Master Plan should be reviewed and we should have a discussion of this placed on the agenda. Sales Tax Proposition. We are inundated by requests by the Westchester County Village Officials Association to take action on the sales tax recommendation they are putting forward. They have asked that we pass a resolution having to do with a proposed sales tax amendment. Hotel Tax Proposition. Discussion scheduled for February 19th. New Organisation. Discussion regarding charter membership of an association which will act as a clearing house of information, a research center, provide educational and training seminare for trustee and council members, keep members updated on legislative matters, provide legal advisory services as may be requested, explain case histories and experiences of other municipalities, and keep members informed of their individual legal liabilities on actions taken in the course of their work.
