Dear Labiniot Mexhuani,
Thank you for the email.
Please note that while the Building Department is eager to assist merchants whenever possible, I cannot
consider this open-ended request for an extension.
Dig Inn, as all such food service establishments, is required by Village Code and by NY State Law to undergo
a Fire Inspection annually and to hold a valid Operating Permit while doing business. Dig's last fire
inspection was on January 10, 2017, and their operating permit expired on January 10, 2018. Given this fact I
must insist that you provide a reasonable timetable under which Dig intends to meet their obligation to file
for their operating permit and schedule their fire inspection.
