The home is once again on the market,for the same price of$595,000 but being advertised as a two bedroom home,which is accurate, however, the necessary repairs have not been made to bring this property up to code. As you can see from the photo on the realtor's page the illegal staircase is still leading up to the two illegal bedrooms (which have been equipped with heat and electricity, there is even an air conditioner in the Window). Therefore there is still no way to stop someone from renting out those rooms which is a good possibility if someone were willing to pay such a price for this home. Remember what happened on West William Street in Port Chester over the summer? How come when others in our neighborhood have tried to make certain renovations they have been required to hire an architect and sometimes pay a fine for the illegal renovations? This property still has an illegal staircase leading up to an illegal upstairs. This is a Sears Roebuck bungalow,the rafters and joists are not equipped to handle a second floor dwelling whether it be for storage or for a living area. Where is the building inspector? Why is this house back on the market before the appropriate issues have been rectified? Greed????
