Re: Sewer Capacity 2 Elm Hill Subdivision
Mr. Bohlander,
A review of your project and Approved subdivision indicates an existing lot subdivided into a
3 Lot Subdivision to be improved as per approved subdivision for (3) Single Family Homes. All
the homes will be serviced by gravity pipe main and discharge into the Village Sanitary sewer
system between manholes 62669 (4 Elm Hill) and 62405 (332 Betsy Brown Road).
Receiving manhole 62405 serves approximately 23 residences with an 8" sewer line. Based
on an existing 8" sewer line at 50% flow, said sewer has an approximate capacity of 700 gpm.
The proposed 3 house subdivision will provide 12 bedrooms @110 gpd/bedroom equaling
1,320 gpd per your calculations. 1 gallon per day(US) 0.0006944 gallons per minute x
1,320gpd = 0.9167 GPM.
Total additional load is 0.9167 (say 1.Ogpm) Gallons Per Minute of additional flow or 0.131%
Increase into the existing sewer system.
Therefore, the existing sewer line has ample capacity to accommodate the additional
residential flows from the proposed subdivided.
Sincerely,
to 11AW04--
Michal Nowak
