Chase Bank at 150 S. Ridge Street currently has no outstanding fees due. They did however fail their fire inspection back in June because of a malfunctioning fire alarm system and have yet to correct the problem and/or contact the Building Department to schedule a reinspection. Should Chase Bank, located at the subject address fail to rectify this condition to the satisfaction of the Building Department by no later than December 14, 2021, which is thirty(30)days from the date of this email,JP Morgan Chase Bank will be served with violations of the NY State Fire Code for failing to repair their fire alarm system and at such time will be liable for fines of up to $1,000.00 per day for each day of continued non-compliance. Please feel free to share this email with all appropriate parties. Thank you. Please note that the Building Department does not send bills or invoices, neither do we pre-bill for pending fire inspections or for anything else. Billing is a function of the Village Treasury Department and outside the scope of our authority. The Building Department does collect fees for permitting, inspections, Certificates of Occupancy and for other services, however fees are remitted to the Building Department by the applicant at the time of submittal of their application for whatever service they require. The Building Department will not accept an application either by mail, electronically, or in person without payment made in full at the time of submission. After review of the Chase Bank file I see that Chase failed their last fire inspection on October 15, 2019 and have yet to schedule a follow-up inspection. Please note that in accordance with NY State Law, Chase must successfully complete a fire inspection every three(3)years in order to maintain a valid Certificate of Occupancy. According to our files their last successful inspection was on August 13, 2013, and therefore the Chase Bank located at 150 South Ridge Street, Rye Brook, NY has been operating without a valid Certificate of Occupancy since August 13, 2016 which are violations of Village Code and of NY State Law. Please be advised that failure on the part of Chase Bank to schedule their fire inspection by no later than June 11, 2021 will result in the issuance of a violation for operation of a business without a valid Certificate of Occupancy and may result in a court summons and fines levied against Chase. Please note that I have copied the last known Branch Manager on this email, however I would appreciate it if you could forward this email to Chase Corporate and/or to whoever has the authority to assist in resolving this matter.
