The following violation(s)of the Code of the Village of Rye Brook were found to exist at, 32 Bonwit
Road, located in an R-12 Single Family Residential Zoning District,in the County of Westchester,
Village of Rye Brook,New York on, May 2, 2022, and continued on July 21, 2022.
CODE: SECTION&TITLE:
Rye Brook Village Code. §186-11. Maintenance of retaining walls required.
DESCRIPTION:
Wooai landscape tie retaining wall in rear yard failing and in an advanced state
of disrepair as depicted in the attached photos, is hereby condemned by the
Building Inspector.
REMEDY:
The property owner named above is hcvroby directed to act immediately and without
delay to arrange for a Westchester County Licensed Contractor to make safe i..he
wall to prevent any further deterioration or possible collapse. The property
owner is further directed to submit to the Building Department a properly
completed and notarized Fence/Wall/Gate Permit Application along with plans
prepared and sealed by a NY State Registered Architect or NY State Licensed
Professional Engineer for a permit to stabilize the rear yard slope and install a
new retaining wall. Such wall shall comply with all local and NY State Codes and
be approved by the Village Architectural Review Board and/or the Planning Board.
Permit applications are available from the homepage of the Village website at,
www.ryebrook.org.
You are hereby directed to contact this department,obtain all necessary permits&commence to correct the above
captioned violation(s) immediately.Note that a re-inspection of the premises is required by law to confirm
compliance with this notice& all other applicable codes.
