I found that some of the Fire Lane signs are obstructed by the yellow pedestrian crossing signs, most are installed in excess of the minimum/maximum height requirements, and none are set at a 30 to 45 degree angle to oncoming traffic as required by code. Please have the Fire Lane signs corrected immediately so as to comply fully with section 240-22.C.(1)(b)of Village Code, a copy of which is attached for your convenience. Please feel free to contact this department if you require any further information. Michael J. Izzo Building & Fire Inspector Village of Rye Brook, NY 12/11/2007 § 240-22. Fire lanes.
