Dear Mr. Stahl,
The Building Department is in receipt of your second letter dated July 23,2007,requesting
another temporary modification to the hours of operation of construction equipment for the
purpose of asbestos removal operations at the Rye Ridge Shopping Center, a copy of which is
attached.
As in my previous response and due to the inherent risks associated with asbestos removal,
permission is hereby $ranted to allow Asbestos Corporation of America,your designated
abatement company,to perform its asbestos removal operations during the non-business hours of
7.00ym thru 2.00am,Tuesday,July 31,2007, through Tuesday August 14,2007.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PERNIISSION IS FOR WEEK DAYS AND NON-
HOLIDAYS ONLY.THERE IS TO BE NO OFF-HOUR ABATEMENT WORK
PERFORMED ON ANY SATURDAY, SUNDAY OR HOLIDAY.
A COPY OF THIS NOTICE MUST BE KEPT ON THE JOB SITE AND BE MADE AVAILABLE
FOR REVIEW UPON DEMAND BY ANY BONAFIDE VILLAGE OFFICIAL

Dear Mr. Izzo:
In my July 13th letter I stated the Village of Rye Brook Building Department would be
notified prior to our commencing abatement of asbestos containing material on the
remaining shopping center canopy.
We are planning to perform the abatement between July 31 and August 14. We would
like to perform this work during night hours, between 7:00 PM and 2:00 AM. In all
likelihood the work will not take two weeks, however, abatement is not performed during
inclement weather, and therefore we have taken a few bad weather days into account
providing you the furthest out date we can reasonably anticipate in seeking the Village's
permission to work at night.
The package we provided to the Village on July 13 contains all relevant and pertinent
information for both the abatement recently completed and the abatement we are
scheduling to commence July 31.
I very much appreciate the cooperation we received with the recent night abatement
request. The exceptionally fast response time and granting permission to work at night
kept our construction schedule on target. Recognizing that we all have many things to do
during the course of the day I am trying to provide you with a more reasonable time
frame to review any of the documentation already provided and hopefully grant this night
time abatement request.
