Subject: Safe Housing Task Force review
Hi Mickey-
I have been contacted about a potential illegal housing situation at 81 Windsor Road.
According to reports, apparently the owner(who lives in Rye City) has told others that she rents the property to a family
of 4 with several young children.
However, there seems to be at least 5 cars there at a time, and different families seems to enter in the mornings vs the
evenings. There are 2 satellite dishes on the roof, and about 15 different people have apparently been observed going
in and out. Around 4 months ago, sheet rock was observed going into the home.
That is about all that was reported. The people staying there are apparently relatively quiet and do not cause any issues,
but the concern raised is whether this situation is allowed as it seems to be a boarding house in a zoning district for
single family homes.
Please ask Steve to check this home as part of our Safe Housing Task Force efforts to see if there may be a problem, or if
all seems to be okay and allowed by code.
Thank you very much.
Chris Bradbury
