I writing to see if it would it be OK if we update the equipment that is in our application yet again.
As you might recall, our plans include three separate cooling zones,one for each level of the house. In this particular
case,we want to update the equipment that we are going to use for just the lowest level of the house. In particular, we
are thinking of using a model made by Mitsubishi instead of one made by Fujitsu. Here is a picture showing the units
that we have currently specified in our application (left column), and the units we would be replacing them with (right

Unfortunately, the NY State Energy Code requires tight-fitting doors on all fireplaces so a C/O wouldn't be
possible at this juncture.
As such I am pleased to inform you that a six (6) month extension to your open permit # BP21-154 has been
approved, and that the new permit expiration date is, 6/21/23.
Please arrange for all work to be completed and successfully inspected, and for all paperwork & fees to be
remitted to the Village such to facilitate the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy/Certificate of Compliance
closing out the permit on or before that date.
Please note that this is the last available permit extension I am authorized to grant. Failure to close out your
permit as described above will result in a violation and possible court summons.

We have made a little progress since we last contacted you:the fireplace surround was installed, and we immediately
measured for fireplace doors and ordered them. The fireplace doors should be installed by early February.
Our contractors ran out of material for the crown moulding(by about 10 feet). We are expecting that shipment by the
end of the month, and I hope it would be installed immediately, but that will depend on the contractor.
Would it be possible to inspect for the certificate of occupancy while these components are still pending? Or do we
need an extension on our permit?

We have been in touch over the last year regarding a renovation at our house (including install of central air and
remodeling our den). Our(extended) permit expires on December 21st. Most of the project is done;we are just

I have been told the fireplace surround should be installed by Dec 15th, but then we need to get fitted for fireplace

Hi Mr. Izzo,
We have a permit for renovations at our home,65 Rock Ridge Drive,which will expire in June. Our project was
delayed in the beginning as the contractors waited for central air equipment, and then we also encountered an
unexpected issue that required consultation with an engineer and a revision to our architectural plans, as you may
remember.
At this point, our project is mostly done, but we are waiting on materials for built-in shelving units and a fireplace
mantle. Our contractor didn't want to start designing that area until demo began because we wanted to see what
was behind the previous hearth/mantle. Now,we still don't have an ETA on the materials that will be needed for the
fireplace mantle and adjoining shelving units.
We hope the project may be completed this summer. I believe you told me we could request a 3-month or 6-month
extension on the permit. Could we please request a 6 month extension,just in case the built-in shelving materials
take time to arrive?
