Our neighbor at 47 Bonwit Road has a white vinyl fence where we attached our fence to close in the area. We did this to avoid running our fence parallel to theirs which would look out of place. When the survey company came in to provide an updated survey so we can close out the building permit, we were informed that the two small sections attached to our neighbor's fence would need to be cut back. The only option would be to get our neighbor's permission to leave the two sections in place. I reached out to my neighbor via email to explain the situation but he did not respond therefore, he put us in the position where we have no choice to cut back the two sections on his property and run our fence along the side of our property. We need to have a fully enclosed area and unfortunately, our neighbor has put us in a position to amend our previously approved plan.
