Subject: 900 King Street
Good Evening.
Thank you for the opportunity to address the Honorable Mayor
and the Village Board of Trustees. Here are my comments and
observations:
1) I would like to state that although the Arbors residents who
are against any development at the site of 900 King Street may
be more vocal, the majority of us are in favor of a new
development that makes sense for the community as a whole
and the Village.
2) The height of the proposed building seems to be out of
character with the Village. I have not seen any new plans, if
there are any, of the proposed site, but the initial plan and its
height reminds me of a fortress, rather imposing and ominous!
3) The applicant has stated that they will erect a screen
between the construction site and Arbor Drive. However, they
indicated that they won't build such a screen between the
construction and the adjoining AHOA homes backing up to the
construction. I would strongly urge the applicant to revisit their
decision. There are many homeowners who live in this area
2
who will be impacted drastically by the construction. This
might work to benefit the applicant as a barrier of sorts could
alleviate the number of complaints that the applicant might
receive during the project.
Thank you.
