I was on last night’s Zoom Call/Meeting, and wanted to send you this email to share with you my thoughts… 1) I really believe that Mayor Rosenberg and the Trustees are doing a wonderful job, in general, and specifically in handling this Situation/Project…Kudos!! 2) And contrary to what I heard/perceived at last night’s Call/Meeting, I believe that it is the Opinion of the Majority of Arbors Residents (as well as The Arbor Board) that it is in the Best Interest of Rye Brook for this Project to Proceed (once the “Major” Issues/Concerns are Addressed/Resolved) 3) The Key Word/Issue/Concern here is DENSITY (Traffic, Parking, Numbers, and Physical/Structural) 4) I do understand that we cannot keep delaying the Applicant (as Mayor Rosenberg Stated last night), but I also understand that rushing their Approval, strictly because of time, isn’t the way to go either (as Dan Barnett Stated Last Night), especially before the Major Density Issues/Concerns are Addressed/Resolved…Applications and Reports cannot just be taken as written, and a deeper dive is always the more prudent course of action, particularly when there is “justifiable bias” on the part of the Applicant (as I am sure I would try and do if I were the Applicant). 5) I agree with what Dan Barnett said last night 100% 6) As a Resident of The Arbors, my #1 (personal) concern is Traffic…Arbor Drive and King Street are very challenging and crowded (at times) now, and this Plan/Project is definitely going to make things even worse and more frustrating in the future for me, my Family, and all of the Residents of The Arbors. I’m sure there is more, but I think you get the gist of my sentiments/concerns – I am ok with the Project, but let’s not rush and let’s make sure that we do absolutely everything we can to reduce all of the “Density” issues for all of Rye Brook, and for the Residents of The Arbors (like me and my Family) in particular. Thank you much… Jeff DISCLAIMER: This e-mail message is intended only for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged, confidential, and exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
