We thank the Village Board for their time and effort in reviewing this project but the main issue of density doesn’t seem to be adequately addressed. Until this is done all other issues are ancillary in nature. After attending most of the meetings for the past 3 years, we feel that the project is still too dense. The fact that that it went from 269 units down to 241 is laughable and does not take into consideration the main concern of the Arbors’ homeowners – Density. As you are aware the property is zoned for 106 units and the developer’s original proposal of 269 units would be 2 1/2 times this amount. Can’t we find a middle ground in these amounts? We believe that any changes to the PUD affect us and we (the HOA) should have a voice in those changes to the PUD that are different from its original use. We are opposed to the project as presently designed. Our lives and plans have changed since the pandemic hit us. The reality is that the village should not even be considering this type of project at this time. Even though we are of the age to move into a residence such as the one being proposed, we 1) have to reconsider this type of living in the Age of Covid and 2) don’t find this proposal inviting at all - too dense with no amenities. Thank you for taking into consideration all issues expressed by the closest neighbors of this project and request that the density issue be resolved before you take a final vote on this project. Sincerely, Fred & Linda Chakar
