Your November 7, 2018 email has been included with the other comments received for the public hearing/comment period for the Village’s review of the 900 King Street applicant's Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), the petition for zoning amendments, and application for the Planned Unit Development (PUD) concept plan. This public hearing opened on October 22, 2018 and remains open today. It is very likely that the public hearing will be closed tomorrow (Jan. 8th) and then there is a minimum 10 day written comment period after the public hearing is closed. All of the comments submitted, including the comments in your November 7th email, will be responded to in the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) which will be prepared by the applicant over the next few weeks or months and then submitted back to the Village Board. I hope this clarifies the current process and when your comments will be responded to as part of the review for this application. It seems to me that the biggest challenge with replacing an office building with any type of residential development, particularly one so dense will greatly add to the problem. This is true because, unlike an office building, drivers coming to and from the new development will be traveling the same direction as current residents. In other words, office workers are coming to the building in the morning and night, as opposed to residents which do the opposite.
