SUBJECT: 900 King Street Redevelopment Preliminary Draft Environmental Impact Statement (pDEIS) Completeness Review DATE: September 7, 2018 With regard to the above mentioned project, this office has received and reviewed the following for completeness only at this time: 1. Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), various revised sections emailed by AKRF, Inc., 9/6/2018; 2. Memorandum from JMC Engineering in response to the 8/10/2018 memorandum from Dolph Rotfeld Engineering, P.C., dated 9/6/2018 Our remaining comments are as follows: 1. Engineering responses are complete with the exception of the requirement to provide "an analysis of the capacity available while firefighting is occurring in the vicinity". As noted previously, this is a requirement under section 11.2.3 of the Scoping Outline. The JMC memo states that they have been in contact with SUEZ and that an analysis is forthcoming and that in the event available capacity is not sufficient, the project would be modified to incorporate water storage and/or pumps to provide needed fire flows. Should the Board of Trustees decide that this is a sufficient response at this time, we would recommend that this information be provided no later than at the time of the Final EIS submission. Substantive technical comments with regard to the DEIS and Site Plan will be completed once the DEIS is accepted by the Lead Agency. Thank You C: M. Nowak M. Mohamed C. Bradbury M. Izzo J. Gray
