Mr. Izzo,
Hi. I am hoping that you remember me. You were kind enough to visit my residence, 14 Holly
Lane, prior to the Winter Season, to discuss the water that continues to be discharged, on a constant
basis, from my neighbor's house (16 Holly Lane). You may remember, that when we met, my
contractor, Anthony Fanelli of A.R. Fanelli, and my landscaper, Benny Bulfamante of Anthony
Bulfamante & Son, Inc., were also present with us. At that time, you indicated that the roadway in front
of my house would be placed on a special list, for when it is cold out, the water freezes and a village
truck would arrive to salt this area, due to the unsafe condition the water causes. I very much thank
you and the Village for salting this area.
Unfortunately, the water problem continues to persist, even with me speaking with my neighbor. Upon
further evaluation, the bottom portion of my driveway is starting to collapse. In addition, the roadway
directly in front of my driveway, has been damaged_ A rut or small trench has formed. Stagnate water
is now present, along with grass growing from the curb. In fact, I have observed birds and a cat using
the stagnate water for hydration. My children pay on the driveway and I am concerned about west nile
or other diseases that the animals may bring to the water_
I have attached several pictures of this condition, for your review. These picture represent periods of
time, within the last two weeks, when we have not had any rainfall. While I understand that many
houses in Rye Brook discharge water into the street when it rains, the house at 16 Holly Lane
discharges water on a continual basis.
I am appealing to you for your assistance with this matter. I am hoping that you and your office are
able to have the water stop draining on a consistent basis and have the road repaired directly in front of
my house.
