I. Minutes:
a. Approve March 1, 2016 Minutes:
Superintendent Bertolacci asked for a motion to accept the March 1, 2016 minutes. Council
Member Zahl made the motion to accept the March 1, 2016 minutes and Council Member
Keilman seconded the motion. The minutes were accepted and approved.
II. Public View Points:
a. Council Member Zahl mentioned that many of the decorative bricks around the
flagpole at Pine Ridge Park are loose. Superintendent Bertolacci said they are
going to redo it.
b. Council Member Saghir mentioned she heard from two parents who were very
upset about the process on how the County basketball teams are picked. The
parents feel it is based on the coach's nomination and it seems there is a lot of
politics involved on how kids are chosen and it seems it is not based on ability.
Parents feel there should be a different way as to how kids are picked for the
County teams because this has been going on for years. Superintendent
Bertolacci explained this is an issue every year but there have been the least issues
this year. There was much discussion regarding the process used to pick the
teams and it is a fact that there will always be an issue no matter what process is
utilized.
c. Council Member Keilman expressed he had a lot of complaints about the rating
session that was at the high school for the 3rd and 4d' graders and up. He stated it
was an hour and a half wait and people were standing around. Superintendent

Bertolacci said he was aware of the wait as he was inside doing the ratings.
Superintendent Bertolacci said he did not think they would do boys and girls at
the same time next year as the thought process this year was to get it all done in
one day. Council Member Keilman asked if there was any way to look at the
rating system separately and have the coaches rate the kids at the end of each
season. Superintendent Bertolacci said we are going to do that this year.
III.Superintendent's Report:
a. Little League Opening Day:
Superintendent Bertolacci said Little League opening day parade is April 16th. At 12:30pm we

at Ridge Street School, hand out uniforms and march as teams. Superintendent Bertolacci said he
will need help at the concession. He asked if anyone would be available to help after the parade
