Old Business: (1) Betsy Brown Rd/Ridge Street. There will be no changes made at this time, there were no problems observed at the location. (2) The issue involving the parking condition on Neuton Ave. in the vicinity of 9219 was discussed at length by the Committee. Motion was made by Commissioner Lombardi and seconded by Commissioner Heiser that no changes be made. The motion was passed unanimously. The Committee could not find a practicable solution for the problems brought before the board that would not adversely affect other residents. There were several suggestions brought before the Committee, such as allowing parking along the street adjacent to the athletic fields. This area is in Port Chester and is outside the jurisdiction of the Committee. Extending the parking regulations down Neuton Ave. will not address the issues of parking on weekends and at night. The current regulation only bans parking on School days from 8am-4pm. (3) Crescent Place. Issue was referred to the committee regarding parking regulations on Crescent Place. A motion was made by Comm. Heiser and seconded by Comm. Appelbaum. The following was passed unanimously to make the parking regulation on Crescent place consistent with the rest of the neighborhood. An issue was brought to the attention of the committee that on Grant Street there are signs posted on a fence that are not consistent with the village code. The issue of allowing parking in the dead end does block the homeowner's driveway at 994. A motion by Commissioner Appelbaum/second by Commissioner Brandeis was passed unanimously as follows: On the South side of Grant Street-No parking from the drive way of 494 to a point 60 Feet West towards Louis Court. New Business: Wilton Road/Beacon Lane issue brought to the attention of the Committee. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Hirsch. They had requested a three way stop sign at intersection of Witlton Road and Beacon Lane. There has been reported speeding in the area and home owners feel that additional stop signs placed at the intersection may reduce speeding. It has been requested that Sgt. Arnold conducts a Traffic Study in the area and report back to the committee. The hedges on the corner will be referred to the Building Department. There was a question on whether they reduce the visibility to vehicles traveling at the intersection. Next Meeting: 6/6/2011 at 8:00 pm. Meeting adjourned: Motion byComm. Walter. Motion seconded byComm. Zeitlin. All are in favor at 9:20 pm.
