Rosenberg(Absent) Mayor Joan L.Feinstein STAFF: Christopher Bradbury,Village Administrator Gregory Austin,Police Chief Michal Nowak,Director of Public Works/Engineering David Burke,Assistant to the Village Administrator Mayor Joan L.Feinstein opened the meeting and called the first item to order. Resolution: Considering the appointment of Office Assistant — Automated Systems On a motion made by Trustee Marrow and seconded by Trustee Heiser, the following resolution was adopted. APPOINTMENT OF OFFICE ASSISTANT (AUTOMATED SYSTEMS) RESOLVED, that Carla A. Murrell of 18-9 Granada Crescent, White Plains,New York is hereby appointed to the position of Office Assistant(Automated Systems ) with the Village of Rye Brook, subject to approval of the Westchester County Department of Human Resources and the Civil Service procedures of the State of New York; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the annual salary is $49,000 with an effective start date of November 9, 2012. TRUSTEE HEISER AYE TRUSTEE MARROW AYE TRUSTEE REDNICK AYE TRUSTEE ROSENBERG ABSENT MAYOR FEINSTEIN AYE Mayor Feinstein called for the second item on the agenda: Resolution: Emergency Bid/RFP and Budget Modificaiton The Village Administrator read the resolution and explained in order to assist in debris removal, the village was consider hiring an outside contractor to haul debris in a truck capable of hauling 30-yards of material. Current highway trucks are limited in how much material they can haul. This would greatly reduce the time of debris removal in the village. On a motion made by Trustee Rednick and seconded by Trustee Heiser, the following resolution was adopted. EMERGENCY BID/RFP AND BUDGET MODIFICATION WHEREAS,the Village of Rye Brook needs additional assistance on an emergency basis to assist village highway crews to clear storm debris from the streets and right-of- ways as a result of Hurricane Sandy (DR-4085); and WHEREAS,the village prepared a Request for Proposals (RFP) on an emergency basis and has received the following three (3)proposals from private contractors: 30 yard roll-off container Proposal: on a truck with a driver (ea) Capital Waste $1,250/day Mon-Fri 555 Saw Mill River Road $6,250/week Yonkers, NY 10701 $1,375/day Saturdays AAA Carting $1,400/day Mon-Fri 1017 Lower South Street $7,000/week Peekskill,NY 10566 $1,400/day Saturdays City Carting $1,400/day Mon-Fri 8 Viaduct Road $7,000/week Stamford, CT 06907 $1,600/day Saturdays NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Rye Brook hereby authorizes Capital Waste of 555 Saw Mill River Road, Yonkers,NY, to provide the necessary amount of 30 yard roll-off containers on trucks with drivers to the Village of Rye Brook in the amount of$1,250 per day (Monday to Friday) and $1,375 on Saturdays; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following budget modification is hereby approved to provide funding for highway maintenance costs associated with Hurricane Sandy: FROM TO AMOUNT 101.1990.424 101.5110.469 $ 40,000 (Contingency) (Highway Maint.— Misc.)
