Mr. Jim Ryan of John Myers Consulting addressed the Board on behalf of
the applicant. Also in attendance was Richard Pierson of John Myers
Consulting. The idea is to simplify the process and make it easier for
applicants coming in, as well as make it easier for the owners of the
shopping center to rent out open space. The Planning Board has reviewed
this matter.
Mayor Rosenberg noted that the Village is trying to be a good neighbor.
The shopping center is very important to the Village. This gives the
shopping center a little more certainty when leasing space.
Trustee Rednick noted that he would like to see additional information on
the parking spaces and times and months for peak parking. There are times
when it is a little tougher to park and you cannot park in front of the store
you are going to, but there are plenty of open spaces within the shopping
center's parking lots. Some of the spaces in the shopping center are utilized
by the neighbors and by the school. Considering this usage, it was found
that there are still parking spaces available. The goal is to make sure there
are parking spaces for patrons.
The third resolution was called before the Board.
